Ideas and Inspiration post for Animation
This is a scene from Wall-E where they are ejected out of the space craft and wall-E has a fire Extinguisher and uses it to float around in space. The Fire extinguisher itself seems to float off in all directions and the movement of them are motionless and floating away. This made me think that i could make it so there is suddenly turbulence whilst exiting the atmopshere and everything moving at different paces or rotating differently as they hit the walls etc. Additionally, because there is a moment of tense and scary atmosphere but when there is zero gravity everything calms down and the mood is lifted and relaxed.
This Clip is from the film Ender's Game and we see a battle take place between two groups of people and there is debris floating around the place. The use of lots big boxes and boulders gave me the idea of having a window on my space craft where you see lots of debris from the space ship such as metal sheets, the different parts of the space ship and just cargo boxes. They all appear in an under water like motion and another idea I gained was that the rope is more of a bungee cord as it is lose and then taught and so I would like to try and add this. Maybe a yoyo with the string bit left free to float as it will add a greater effect as the yoyo body will just float but the rope can bend in many ways.
In the video game Call of Duty : Ghosts, At 5:14 there are lots of floating objects as they are fighting in space. As you hit/ move the objects they remain in a constant speed and rotation even though other object might move slower everything moves in its own manor accordingly as it keeps its momentum. This gave me the idea of having like a storage or place where there are lots of personal belongings such as toys, photo frames which will suddenly start floating in space. Another idea this gave me is to have things that work together or are connected on earth but in space would act a lot differently, for example wooden numbered blocks would remain in a pile on earth but in space would float off and in random directions.
